Cladding

The layering of non-structural material over the surface of a building's walls. A covering or skin used to provide a degree of thermal insulation and weather resistance, and to improve the appearance of buildings.

Envelope insulation is a layer of protective material applied to the exterior and/or interior sub walls, subfloor, and roof of a building to create a living space protected from the outside elements.

Thermal Bridging Mitigation

The thermal performance of a building’s envelope can be affected by thermal bridging, or localized areas of high heat flow through walls, roofs and other insulated building envelope components.
